Changes to Shotlist

Shot list – The Ring of Betrayal
Each shot has been moved down as to make room for our company logo.

1.Company Logo

2.Pan shot of beach (Producers names) – this shot has not changed this is because we felt that it worked well to set the scene.

3.Long shot of man 1 and woman running along the beach laughing – this shot has changed to a long shot of Man 1 and Woman walking along the beach holding hands and talking (music by).


4.Close up of hands holding, focusing on wedding rings – This shot was removed as after filming we found it made our teaser look to much like a film opening.

5.180 degree shot of married couple on bench (man 1husband) – This shot was also removed for the same reason. We decided to replace this shot with a Long shot flash of a dead woman on the floor.


6.Zoom in on woman’s eye (flashback) – This shot was also moved due to many filming complications it caused.

7.Long shot of hotel in London – This shot has been changed to number 5 on our shot list and we also decided to do a Pan up of the building instead, this made our shot very diverse and made the building look bigger.

8.High angle of the wedding ring falling on the table – This shot was also removed as we felt that the shot made the teaser look very unprofessional.

9.Mid shot of woman kissing man 2 (black and white) – This shot was changed to an over the shoulder shot of Woman breaking off the affaire with man 2. We changed this shot as it made our storyline a lot more interesting.

10.Zoom in on wedding ring (Graphic match of eye) – This shot was removed as it did not correspond with other shots. We moved the mid shot of Woman at work here.

11.Zoom out of woman’s eye (back to present) – Again this shot was removed due to filming complications and also made the teaser look very unprofessional. The mid shot of Man 2 at work starring at Woman has been moved here.

12.High angle of woman looking for wedding ring – After filming this shot we had no choice but to remove it as our teaser trailer went over the required filming time and we felt this was not an important shot. To replace this shot we added in a mid shot of Man 1 at the beach.

13.Graphic shot of “betrayal” - This shot has stayed the same

14.Over the shoulder shot man 1 questioning wedding ring – This shot had to also be removed due to timing difficulties and after removing shot 12 this shot lost its meaning. To replace this shot we added in a mid shot of the police questioning

15.Mid shot reverse shot of woman lying and man1 of ring to help look – This shot was removed due to it making our teaser look to much like a film opening. This has been changed to another long shot flash of the dead woman.

16.Pan up of London work building – This shot was removed due their being too many establishing shots. This has been changed to a mid shot of Man 2 answering the police interrogation.

17.Mid shot woman at work (Characters name) – this shot has not changed but has been moved.

18.Zoom in on woman’s shoes (directed by) – This shot was removed due to timing difficulties and again it being a minor shot.

19.Mid shot man 2 starring (Characters name) – This shot has not changed but has been moved. A Pan of a field has been moved here.

20.Graphic shot of “what goes around comes around. – This shot has not changed.

21.Mid shot of man 1 on the phone “I know she’s cheating, sort it” (echoing) – This shot was removed due to it giving away to much of the story.

22. Long shot woman getting on the tube - We removed this shot as we had gone over the time requirements and did not feel it was an important shot. A low angle long shot of a woman holding a baby has been placed here.

23. Low level of woman’s feet walking through the tunnel (cross cut) – This shot has been taken out as we felt it was too much. To replace this we added a high angle long shot of the police officer out of work uniform.

23. Low level of man 2’s feet walking through the tunnel (cross cut) – This has been changed to a long shot of woman’s shoes walking

24. Low level of woman’s feet walking up the stairs (cross cut) – this has been changed to a close up on woman’s shoes walking up the stairs.

25. Low level of man 2’s feet walking up the stairs (cross cut) – This has been changed to a close up on man 2 shoes following up the stairs.

26. Low level of man 2’s feet running past women round the corner – this shot has been changes to a long shot of man 2’s shoes following woman’s down the street.

27. Close up of her being Kidnapped – This shot has been changed to long shot of woman in the boot of a car.

28. Point of View Missing poster (edited by) – This hot did not look at all professional so was removed from the teaser. To replace this we added a high angle of man 2 shutting the car boot.

29. Long shot Man 1 meeting cop friend – This shot has been moved and slightly changed.

30. Mid shot reverse shot man 1 meeting cop friend (Characters names) – this shot has been removed.

31. Mid shot of Man 2 being punched – This shot was removed as there was not enough time.

32. Mid shot reverse shot Interview with man 2 and police – This shot has been moved and slightly changed

33. Canted angle of man 2 getting arrested (Characters name) – This shot was taken out as it was difficult to make it look realist.

34. Long shot identifying body – this was removed

35. Mid shot identifying body – This was removed

36. Close up identifying body – This was also removed

37. Mid shot pan Woman holding baby (see no face) –This shot was moved and altered

38. Zoom in to close up of woman’s shoes (music by) – This has been altered to a long shot of woman’s shoes walking.

39. (Film title) ring in background spinning – This shot has been changed to a sparkle circling the ring.

40. Graphic shot of production company logo – This has been moved to the beginning.

Man 1 = Husband
Man 2 = Man that woman is having affair with.

Alot of our shots have been changed due to us seeing the errors of our shot list along the way. It is easy to say you are going to do this shot but when it comes to filming and editing we found it looked very unprofessional thus a lot of changes were made. However the storyline has not changed and neither has the plot, we feel by making these changes we have made our teaser trailers meaning clearer.
